About Andy Britnell
Andy Britnell is a highly experienced technology sales executive & sales leader. Over the course of his extensive career he has sold a range of Enterprise Software, Professional Services and Consultancy services. He is currently the Vice President of Sales (UK) at Identity Methods Limited, a UK startup Systems Integrator driving professional Services around Identity and Access Management.
A lifelong learner, Andy recently got his Psychology degree via a distance learning program with Newcastle University. Previously he studied Business Management and Exercise Science, and later Advanced GNVQ Business and Sports Studies at Farnborough College of Technology. In addition to his ample hands-on business experience Andy has undergone extensive formal sales training.
Prior to Identity Methods Limited, Andy Britnell held leadership roles at companies including Nodesource, Perfecto Mobile, Aveksa (acquired by EMC July 2013), BMC Software, Gartner, IBM, and Remedy Tech (BMC Partner). Andy has driven significant sales and has achieved numerous multi-million deals on behalf of these companies over the years. He is highly experienced in drastically growing businesses’ local and international footprints and in managing teams to deliver companies’ portfolios to their specific sectors. In each of Andy’s professional roles, he has distinguished himself as a capable and tech-savvy leader, steadily working his way up the corporate ladder.
An enterprising leader to the core, Andy Britnell also built Benchmark IT Leaders, an invitation only group for senior IT leaders giving access to analysts, industry professionals, networking and specialized events in Europe.
Andy consults with startups based in the United States and in Israel who are looking to branch out in the United Kingdom. In these advisory/consulting positions, he has helped Pre-IPO organizations including Safe-T Data, Sailpoint, and Actifio develop their business and expand their presence. He also served as an international headhunter for 20+ years, which supports his overall goal of building out business in the UK.
Andy is also a Business Mentor for Virgin StartUp (a nonprofit aiming to help entrepreneurs) and a Prince’s Trust business advisor for young people who are looking to get their lives on track and succeed professionally.
In addition to these aspects of Andy’s life, he has gotten involved in his community and has done charity work for cancer research. He is also highly passionate about sports and fitness, particularly when it comes to martial arts.
